I sealed one of the holes in the floorboards yesterday. It went alright, if not a little tiring on my back and knees. But boy was it messy! I had to figure out a way to provide a layer of insulation between my steel floor boards and the aluminum patch (because these two metals will corrode if touching each other) so I chose to use rubberized undercoating. I chose it because it would provide a thin, soft layer which would eliminate vibration and prevent road noise from entering.
Too bad it has the consistancy of maple syrup until it dries. And it is so hard to get off your hands. Geez...and I still have two more holes to patch. But the rivets are working wonderfully - it really creates a tight seal.
