Rust repair, continued

Well what do you know - I'm finished with the floorboards. Having today off, I spent the whole day working on my hands and knees getting things taken care of. So here are the before, during, and after pictures.

The damage after punching out the rust.

All traces of rust cut out with a jigsaw, then sanded to bare metal.

Fiberglass cloth cut to size

Fiberglass resin jelly mixed, fiberglass cloth coated on both sides and shaped to fit the hole

The patch dried and sanded

The other patches smoothed over with body filler and sanded in preparation for painting

The finished product. It doesn't look all that great, but who cares? It's all underneath my carpet and will probably never be seen by the naked eye. But as you notice, you can't see the ground anymore. On the bottom, I used body filler to smooth out the underbody and painted it black. I will spray on some undercoating tomorrow morning after it has had time to dry overnight.
