Progress Report

1. I'll be purchasing a remanufactured rear caliper vs. having it rebuilt.
2. Still bidding on that speedometer cable. I will not lose!
3. I bought liquid weld for repairing a small hole in my exhaust.
4. I found equipment for redoing my center console and shifter boot. I took it all apart yesterday, and today went to Keene and found some really nice, soft vinyl. So I've been measuring, tracing, and cutting. I'll outsource the sewing to my Mom; she's the expert.
5. I'll pour some Bar's Leaks to help rejuvenate my dry gaskets. I hope that will stop the very slow oil drip coming from who knows where. Otherwise I'll get to learn how to replace gaskets. Oh joy of joys.

Pictures:
1. These were the biggest defects of my interior - the shift boot and arm rest cover (doesn't that look like a comfortable place to rest your arm?).
2. This is my center console in it's disassembled state.
3. And these are the new pieces of vinyl that are going to form the new shift boot and armrest cover. For durability the seams will be double stitched. I'm debating on whether to have the visible seams in a gray color to match my black/gray seats. The armrest will be made of three pieces, instead of one, with matching double stitching.
