I went to the Honda/Kawasaki/Suzuki dealer this afternoon to try some motorcycles on for size. And...I've pretty much settled on one in particular.
I tried the GS500F, but it was a bit small for me. It's typically a popular choice with women riders, so the seat is a bit lower to the ground for their benefit. Too bad I'm just under six feet, because it's cheap.
The Vulcan felt a size too small, especially for a sport cruiser. The Honda Shadow felt like the right size, but I'm not a cruiser fan anyways. The seating sure was comfortable - laid back and relaxed.
The one that caught my heart was the SV650S. It fit just right, and it looks incredible in person. A great blend of edges, angles, and curves. I had already marked the SV as one to look at, but I want it even more.
PS I got a space in the MSF course. They'll be sending me my assigned dates later on.
