I began using a red-tinted wax to cover up my sandblasted air dam, but I found that it wasn't buffing off as glossy as I liked, so I switched to Meguiar's Step 3 - Carnauba Wax.
A little more wax-on, wax-off, and it was complete. Well, at least part of it. There's still the trim and the interior, but that's for another day.
Important Notes:
- Always wax your car in the shade.
- Rub it into the paint in circular motion, let it dry to a haze, then buff it off with a clean cotton or microfiber cloth until smooth and shiny.
- Don't miss anything! You'll be embarrassed later on if you find a non-waxed spot on your car, or worse - a spot you forgot to buff off.
