Brakes

I spent the afternoon getting under the car and checking how things have held up over the past three years. The rust work I did has held up really well - the converter and undercoating has stopped any further damage.

There are some ugly looking parts for sure, but it's mostly surface rust on suspension components. Thankfully, the frame looks great.

My anti-roll bar is in pretty bad shape, and thin to boot! The bushings are all but worn out leading to that rattling sound on bumpy roads. But I'll save that upgrade for a little later.

I checked out my left-front brake system and just like the I figured, it is partially frozen shut. And it's quite rusted. So, I've been doing some searching on brake products to use to replace both front brake systems.

UPDATE: I just purchased a pair of Brembo OE brake rotors along with a set of Satisfied Gransport 6 carbon ceramic brakes. I've heard lots of great things about both products - I look forward to setting them and seeing their performance. They should be delivered the first week of May. In the meantime - I've got to get me some calipers.

As for another future upgrade, I plan on upgrading my brakelines from rubber to stainless steel for increased brake feel. More on that later.
